Join musician and Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher Sawyer Ward for a beautiful celebration to welcome 2026. This Kirtan celebrates the birth of 2026. A hopeful and uplifting gathering of openhearted souls, joined together by our resonance.

Kirtan is call-and-response style group chanting, and Sawyer is a masterful leader and storyteller. She chooses meaningful mantras (sacred chants) and songs from a number of traditions to align the vibration of the group with the intent of the celebration. For this event, expect uplifting and opening, welcoming the birth of a new calendar year into the world and into our lives.

Chanting and singing are a balm to the Vishuddha, or throat, Chakra, which rules the thinking mind and the space between our shoulders and ears. Thought, speech, the practice of satya, or truthfulness, and our clear perception of things are supported by Kirtan. Practicing in a lovely and soothing community setting is doubly beneficial, as all levels of participation and skill are welcome.
