Astrology Svadhyaya
Dive deeply into a study to illuminate your karma and understand cosmic rhythms.
a light that pierces unhelpful noise
Part art and part science, natal astrology is an effective tool for illuminating the soul and its karma in this lifetime. Among the many lenses through which we can seek to understand ourselves, astrology has the benefit of thousands of years of study behind it—as well as being largely objective. It is prized amongst divination methods by the yogis descended from the Temple of Kriya for its ability to illuminate that which the delusional mind cannot.
Applied Self study
Svadhyaya is a Sanskrit term that is translated to mean both self-study, as in self-directed study of a topic (often scripture), and study of the self. This course uses both meanings. In addition to receiving thoughtful instruction, you’ll conduct your own exploration of these topics using sources that resonate with you. And we’ll use your individual birth chart as your primary object of interpretation. At the end of this Svadhyaya, you’ll know your chart inside and out—and be prepared to provide interpretation for others if you wish.
Beyond the Drama
In this age where content creators gain visibility by evoking strong emotional reactions, astrological interpretation has become distorted and overly dramatic. One of Tiffany’s Teachers use to refer to this as, “doom and gloom astrology,” where every passage of a planet is associated with crisis and disruption in our lives. But astrology rarely works like that. Movement of the planets and the relationships between them are natural rhythms, not unlike the weather. The content of this class be grounded and sensible. Designed to take the drama out of astrology and replace it with a sense of natural rhythm, this class upholds our individual agency and responsibility for our lives (we are not at the mercy of the planets!).
Class Structure
Our class is organized around the solar calendar, meeting once per month during the time that the sun is in each sign of the Zodiac. For each month, we’ll study its associated sign, house, and planet; aspects and other basic features of natal charts are sprinkled throughout the year.
Students are encouraged to have studied some on the topics prior to class so we can have a robust discussion that supports everyone’s understanding of both the astrology and our own charts.
Classes meet at our studio in Wheat Ridge on select Sundays, 10-11:30am. End time is fluid based on the discussion in the class. Specific dates are listed in the FAQs below; most are late in the month.
Investment
This class is paid for by monthly autopay, which can be managed on our end through Stripe using the registration button below or on your end by Zelle if you prefer. If you wish to pay via Zelle, please email Tiffany to set that up.

That’s honestly up to you. Part of the work of the class will be to identify information sources—books, social media accounts—that resonate with you. It’s possible that you can accomplish the homework as part of your scrolling if you wish. Or you can choose to go deeper with books of your liking.

We sure hope not! Part of the goal of this class is to take you beyond what you can study on your own and apply that knowledge so it becomes second nature. More than a tool for understanding karma, astrology can provide excellent structure for many areas of our lives. Our goal is for all students to learn to use this intelligently as a tool to navigate life better, not just a memorization party trick.
