embodied calm through qi gong
Qi Gong is a mindful movement practice that originated in ancient China. It is renown for its ability to simultaneously energize the body while calming the nervous system. The practice is done standing in an easy posture, with slowly flowing movements practiced for several minutes before changing to another movement. You may also practice sitting in a chair if standing is not available for you or you need a rest.
Colleen practices and teaches Qi Gong from a place of deep mindfulness and self acceptance. She find this to be a loving practice that helps shift the body, mind, and emotions to a more peaceful, calm, relaxed state. She is part of a worldwide network of Holden Qi Gong teachers and invests heavily in both her own practice and continuing education. Attending her class, you get grounded experience and effective practice.
This 4 week class series happens Thursday afternoons from 4:30-5:30pm on September 11th, 18th, and 25th; and October 2nd. To ensure that all students have enough space to practice, class is limited to 12 participants.
At this time, this class is only available as a series. If the class is not full, we may allow drop-ins on a week by week basis. If you wish to inquire about the potential for a drop in, please reach out via our contact form at least 24 hours before class. Put “Drop in for Embodied Calm” in the subject line.
