Join us for this opportunity to study with visiting teacher Avery Kalapa in a three-day immersive workshop devoted to thoughtful practice and embodied learning. This weekend invites you to slow down, refine your understanding of alignment, and reconnect with the intelligence of your own body. Through careful guidance, humor, and deep attention, practice becomes a space for steadiness, curiosity, and genuine restoration.
What You’ll Experience
Alignment-based practice that supports strength and stability
Clear, intelligent instruction with space for individual guidance within a group setting
Practices that calm the nervous system and encourage deep restoration
Exploration of asana, pranayama, and philosophy in a grounded, safe way
An inclusive environment welcoming diverse bodies, identities, and levels of experience
The Three-Day Arc
This workshop is designed as a continuous three-day experience, with each session building naturally upon the last. Beginning with foundational alignment and orientation, the weekend gradually deepens into more refined study, restorative work, and integration. Participating in the full container allows time for learning to settle into the body, creating continuity, community, and a more meaningful sense of practice.
Practical Notes
All sessions are taught in a group setting with personal guidance offered throughout. Evolition provides mats, blankets, bolsters, blocks, and other props, though students are encouraged to bring their own mats if possible.
This workshop is open to practitioners of all levels, including those seeking a thoughtful re-entry into practice, deeper technical understanding, or supportive approaches to working with injury, stress, or physical limitations. The space is intentionally welcoming to people of varied backgrounds and identities.
To preserve the sanctity of the space and support yourself having the best experience possible, please plan to stay for the entire workshop (i.e. choose flights later in the day Sunday so you can be present for the workshop’s completion).
Save the Date
Registration opens in May. We are allowing fewer students this year than last for a more intimate, personalized experience, so prepare to register early.. There will be scholarships available for BIPOC & trans individuals.
