Summer of Deep Rest: a 4-week Restorative Yoga Series

  • Akasha Collective 5810 W. 38th Ave, Suite 3 Wheat Ridge, CO 80212 USA (map)

One of the most meaningful learnings from my recent Pelvic Floor Yoga training is that most people working with pelvic floor issues aren’t dealing with muscles that are too weak, but rather, too tight and unable to relax. Having worked with bodyminds as long as I have, I can tell you this doesn’t just happen with the pelvic floor—it happens with the whole body.

The body and the mind being two expressions of the same energy, one can say that pretty much all of us could use help letting go into the deeper fibers of our being.

It’s an auspicious time to meet the body with the cooling, grounding practice of Restorative Yoga. In the heat of the summer, we rest and rejuvenate. Especially in the evening.

From July 11th through August 1st, our usual Tuesday evening Hatha Yoga class will feature a Restorative Yoga practice. Class begins at 6:30 pm and ends between 7:45 and 8:00 pm.

July 11th: The Lymphatic System and moving energies and wastes through the body

July 18th: The inner organs and what gets held within and around them

July 25th: Inversions

August 1st: Solar and Lunar, aka Divine Masculine and Divine Feminine

Each of the classes stands alone at the usual drop-in rate of $18 per class. However, you can commit to attend the series of 4 for $54. Register for the restorative yoga class series here.

For an hour before the 7/18, 7/25, and 8/1 classes, a self-study and compassion circle is meeting. Package price for all 4 yoga sessions and the circle is $84. Register for the package here.
